About the ETSP-RT Series Rain Test Chamber
The ETSP-RT series from ETSP, South Korea, are rain test chambers designed for the simulation of rain and water spray as per JIS D 0203, SAE J2245 and SAE J575. The series covers shower spray, jet spray and car wash tests.
The shower spray nozzles follow the JIS standard for S1, S2, R1 and R2 testing. Heavy splash/shower (S1, S2 spray) uses 40 nozzles at 14.2 psi (1 kgf/cm²) for 30 minutes, with a water flow rate of 6.5 gallons/min (24.5 L/min). Light spray/rain (R1, R2 spray) uses two nozzles at 4.3 psi (0.3 kgf/cm²) for 10 minutes, with a water flow rate of 0.8 gallons/min (3.2 L/min).
In the jet spray test the table rotates at 4 RPM with a water flow rate of 100 L/min (6,000 L/hr = 6 m³/hr), and in the car wash spray test the table rotates at 5 RPM with a pressure of 80–100 kg/cm². The chambers have an ergonomically designed control panel, a control and monitoring system, a water circulation system and a rotating table, with optional heating up to 80 °C ± 5 °C.
Four models, ETSP-RT 512, 729, 1000 and 3000, offer useful capacity from 512 to 2,197 litres, and custom-designed chambers are available on demand. The ETSP-RT series is manufactured according to Total Quality procedures, in compliance with the ISO 9001 standard.
